Question of the day…How come KIDD claims that I can install a KIDD .22 barrel on to my Ruger® 10/22® receiver and suddenly group at 1/2″ at 50 yards?

The reason why KIDD Innovative Design can make this claim is, that our barrels are made with exceptional standards.  And not unlike a superior quarterback can throw the football exactly where he aims, a barrel guides the bullet in a similar way.  Now, there is a price increase to go from a Ruger® 10/22® barrel to an aftermarket KIDD .22 barrel but there is also a benefit.  The KIDD barrels are made with stainless steel and the rifling is cut by a process call button rifling rather than the hammer forging process done on steel.  So being different from inception creates a quality difference and ability between the barrels.  But it doesn’t stop there, KIDD has a number of tasks that we perform on the barrels to make them KIDD Quality.  We machine the exterior to clean up the finish, chambering, turn the extension, cut to length, cut the convex extractor slot, crown, polishing, and hand lapping all of which are done with the greatest of care and keeping in mind that we must provide a “top notch” product because we can’t beat Ruger® on price.  High quality and precision is the driving force behind all KIDD products.  Good shooting, KIDD

  1. Received my multiple components from KIDD including a barrel mounted on a classic receiver.
Put it all together and got it to the range. No ‘break-in’ needed. Started at 25 yards and started punching one-hole groups with CCI Sttd velocity right away.
    Am grinning!
